Laborer Worker – Redi-Shapes Precast Refractory Shapes

The Plibrico Company is seeking an experienced Laborer Worker for a full time position in its Salem, OH location.  Under the direction of the Redi-Shape Department Manager, the labor worker and mold assembler will be responsible for assembling and stripping the precast shape molds.   This employee will also assist the castologist in casting refractory material into the precast molds.

Responsibilities and essential functions include:

• Reviews work orders and instructions for assignments, specifications and schedule
• Gathers materials, tools and supplies for jobs
• Breakdowns and assemble precast shape molds
• Monitors equipment to ensure in good working order and reports malfunctions to management
• Transports material and products to and from work space by hand, cart or mechanical equipment
• Wears proper safety equipment for each task
• Is a steward of Plibrico’s Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Core Values
• Assists with other department related tasks as needed

Background/Experience Requirements:

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years construction laborer experience
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must have experience driving a fork lift
• Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds
• Ability to use hand tools and air tools

ADDITIONAL:

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Required to use arms and legs with frequent movement of entire body, such lift and/or move up to 50 pound objects, climb, balancing and handling material
