Product Information: Plicast®️ Al-Tuff® 36 is a high temperature, mullite based nonwetting castable, formulated with 60% alumina.   Plicast Al-Tuff 36 delivers material toughness for impact and crack resistance, along with very good nonwetting resistance to aluminum penetration to prevent leaks and run outs.   With a high temperature service limit, this high strength material offers very good volume stability.   Product advantages include:

  • Very good volume stability
  • Good thermal conductivity for a mullite based product
  • Easy to install
  • Toughness – impact and crack resistance
