Plibrico is looking for a Business Development Manager – Southeastern Region to help accelerate our growth across the Southeastern United States.
In this role, you’ll take the lead in identifying and developing new customers, uncovering project opportunities, and positioning Plibrico’s refractory products, services, and technical expertise to win new business. You’ll also work closely with our Project Managers, augmenting their sales efforts and helping turn opportunities into long-term customer relationships.

To be successful in the Business Development Manager role, you will be a key driver of sales growth across the Southeastern Region—proactively identifying, pursuing, and developing new customers and business opportunities. You will build relationships with customers and prospects, uncover project opportunities, and position Plibrico’s products, services, and technical expertise to win new business and expand market share. Working closely with Project Managers, you will augment their sales efforts by opening doors, developing new opportunities, and providing the technical and market expertise needed to advance opportunities through the sales process. By combining technical expertise, market knowledge, and a strong business-development mindset, you will build a sustainable pipeline and convert opportunities into long-term customer relationships and profitable growth.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- New Business Development – develop sales by prospecting new accounts, proactive servicing current customers and active management of quote pipeline to meet or exceed project revenue and profitability targets.
- Identifies, develops, and drives new sales opportunities across the Southeastern Region to accelerate revenue growth and expand the business.
- Engages thermal processing end-users to position and secure Plibrico products and solutions in project specifications and design drawings.
- Manages the seamless transition of newly acquired customers to the appropriate Project Manager or Account Manager, ensuring continuity and a strong customer experience.
- Provides technical expertise and support to customers and Project Managers to help identify solutions and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develops and delivers compelling sales presentations and technical marketing content, including articles, social media, webinars, and other customer-facing materials.
- Improves perceived value and recognition of Plibrico’s brand in designated territory.
- Partners with Research & Development to help guide product development by identifying emerging thermal processing needs and evaluating opportunities to strengthen and expand the product portfolio.
- Prepares sales reports and provides management with timely insights on performance, results, and key opportunities.
- Maintains and expands industry, product, and sales expertise through ongoing training, meetings, industry events, and professional development.
- Adheres to environmental and safety regulations and acts in accordance with United States’ laws.
- Adheres to corporate policy on business ethics.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires education generally equivalent to High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar field preferred.
- Advanced technical ability and familiarity with ceramic engineering and/or refractory installations.
- Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses required; must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Familiar and skilled with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM.
- Excellent sales, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Must be able to formulate and implement sales strategies.
- Proficient math skills. Must be able to take accurate measurements, make legible sketches, and calculate material volumes.
LOCATION: Florida
TRAVEL: 70% – 80%
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The position is an office-based position with regular visits to work sites in the field. The colleague performs work-related travel.
