Product Information
Pli-shot Si-Bond M Al is a mullite based, cementless castable enhanced for resistance to aluminum reaction and flux attack. It is a version of Plicast® Si-Bond M Al that has been modified for shotcrete application. This product offers improved pumping characteristics and a longer stiffening time. In aluminum contact and non-contact applications it provides the following benefits:
- Excellent resistance to aluminum attack and corundum growth even at elevated temperatures
- High, consistent hot strength from the aluminum melt range to high temperature >2300oF
- Enhanced mineralogy and low porosity for improved flux and alkali resistance
- Quicker bake out than reduced cement castable options
