Product Information: Plicast® Si-Bond M RS is a mullite based, cementless castable. Since it contains a minimal amount of lime and other alkalis, it’s matrix is resistant to high temperature fluxing. Plicast Si-Bond M RS also offers better resistance to slags that are acidic to neutral, as well as alkali attacks than a low or even ultra-low cement castables of a similar chemistry. Other product characteristics and benefits include:
- Excellent material for Precast Shapes
- High hot strength above 1500°F to 2500°F and above
- Enhanced mineralogy and low porosity for improved slag alkali resistance
- Good refractoriness under load
- Very good abrasion resistance
- Good volume stability
