Product Information: Plicast® Si-Bond M Al RS is a mullite based, cementless castable enhanced for resistance to aluminum reaction and flux attack.  This material contains a minimal amount of lime and other alkalis making its matrix highly resistant to high temperature fluxing.  In aluminum contact and non-contact applications it provides the following benefits:

• Excellent material for Precast Shapes
• Excellent resistance to aluminum attack and corundum growth even at elevated temperatures
• High, consistent hot strength from the aluminum melt range to high temperature >2300^oF
• Enhanced mineralogy and low porosity for improved flux and alkali resistance
• Good refractoriness under load
• Very good abrasion resistance
• Good volume stability
• Quicker bake out than reduced cement castable options
• Plicast Si-Bond M Al RS has good flow and setting characteristics allowing it to be placed by vibration, casting, or pumping.
