Product Information: Plicast® Al-Shield BTR 7 KK is an aluminum resistant, low cement castable. With a bauxite aggregate base and a modified matrix, this castable provides enhanced aluminum resistance to 2000°F and was especially engineered to resist reactive aluminum alloys. Plicast Al-Shield BTR 7 KK product enhancements and advantages include:

• Good aluminum reaction/wetting resistance to 2000°F
• Resists more reactive aluminum alloys (high Mg, Na)
• High hot MOR from 1500°F to 2000°F and above
• Good abrasion Resistance <10 cc
• Good volume stability
