Eric Downing and Scott Forster bolster company’s depth of service
The Plibrico Company, a global leader in monolithic refractory technology, today announced the appointment of two new additions to its team. Eric Downing has joined Plibrico as Branch Manager of the company’s Florida and Georgia locations following the announcement that current Branch Manager, Dale Johnson, would be retiring at the end of this month. Scott Forster has joined Plibrico as project manager, responsible for estimating, engineering, and managing projects in the company’s Buffalo, NY location.

A 25-year industry veteran with extensive construction experience, Eric Downing was most recently with a major western construction company as a Manager of Business Development. Prior to that, he served as Sales and Project Manager for nearly 16 years with a refractory contractor in North America. Downing will manage the company’s Florida and Georgia branch locations and will report directly to Brad Taylor.
Scott Forster, Project Manager
Scott Forster joins Plibrico as Project Manager in the company’s Buffalo, NY location where he will be responsible for managing functions that include safety planning and oversight, project estimating, material procurement, scheduling, and on-site direction. A seasoned professional, Forster has deep familiarity with refractory technology, having previously held senior project management roles for 34 years. Earlier in his career Forster was a refractory bricklayer, giving him firsthand knowledge of installation requirements and the management of work crews. Forster will report to Dave Mauger, Branch Manager of the Buffalo, NY location.
