Product Information: Pli-Shot™️ Al-Shield™️ GHC 7 KK is a 70% alumina, low cement castable, with a modified mullite matrix that incorporates a high temperature aluminum resistant additive system. Designed for optimum rapid placement by shotcreting, this product is ideal for extensive aluminum furnace repairs and veneering. Pli-Shot Al-Shield GHC 7 KK has many great refractory characteristics including:
- Excellent aluminum reaction/wetting resistance to 2000°F
- Relatively high, constant hot MOR from 1500°F to 2000°F as compared to other aluminum contact castables
- Good thermal cycling resistance
- Rapid installation via shotcreting
