Product Information: Plicast® Al-Rezist™ 80 C KK is an 80%, bauxite based, low-cement aluminum resistant castable with extra coarse aggregate, that uses an enhanced multi-additive package for superior performance against more aggressive alloys including those with high fluidity.   This product is engineered for aluminum processors who run their furnaces hotter, faster, and require a superior aluminum resistant refractory performance.   Along with excellent non-wetting and aluminum resistant properties, Plicast Al-Rezist 80 C KK also has good physical properties for demanding service conditions.   Product advantages include:

  • Excellent aluminum reaction/wetting resistance to 1800°F

Product Information: Plistix SR-90 is fine grain, high alumina, phosphate bonded “plaster” type of refractory service mix.   Similar in chemistry and minerology other Plibrico high alumina phosphate bond plastic refractories (Plibrico 90 S, and Plibrico SR-90), Plistix SR-90 is manufactured in a thick mortar type consistency making it ideal for patching and service applications.   It can be applied as is from the bucket for troweling, or thinned with water for a grout or wash coat.   Product attributes include:

  • High service limit – 3300°F
