Focus on Safety
Our relentless pursuit of zero injuries exists within a company-wide culture of excellence
At Plibrico, safety is a core value that acts as a cornerstone of our refractory installation and service operations. Every day, we demonstrate this steadfast commitment by taking extra steps, exceeding standards, and continuing to find new and innovative ways to achieve a safer, more secure, and healthier working environment for our employees.
Plibrico’s comprehensive safety programs ensure employees are protected from the hazards of the refractories industry. Plibrico employees are trained to be aware of their personal responsibilities to ensure safety, to strive to follow best practices, to act proactively to prevent accidents and injuries, and to be prepared for emergencies that may occur in the workplace. Ongoing safety training also equips employees to recognize a hazard and to take immediate corrective measures as needed. We champion the mindset that all work-related injuries can be prevented.
Plibrico operates in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as our internal health and safety policies — not simply because it’s the law, but because the future of the company relies on it. Of course, safety means fewer injuries. But it also means Plibrico can better control expenses, as well as avoid business disruptions. These competitive advantages result in significant cost efficiencies we pass onto our customers.
Workplace safety is not simply an issue of doing the right thing or avoiding lost-time and injury costs. There are positive business outcomes to be gained in the form of improved customer service and satisfaction.
You can rely on our safety expertise before and during your refractory installation
Because of its commitment to safety, Plibrico is proud to be one of a few companies in the refractories industry to invest in a full-time, on-staff National Safety Manager. Our manager is knowledgeable of the most current safety regulations as they relate to refractory installation and construction, and is available to assist customers and employees in safety planning, training and monitoring before and during installation. As part of their responsibilities, the National Safety Manager also visits worksites to assist in assessing hazards, provide experienced oversight, research better methodologies, and help to maintain compliance with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
Plibrico’s exemplary safety record is a direct result of its robust corporate commitment. But Plibrico is not a company that’s content to rest on its past or present accomplishments. That’s why we’re always analyzing and implementing innovative new safety solutions and methods that can help bring us closer to zero incidents.
