Spreading Smiles: Plibrico’s Heartfelt Cards Bring Joy to Hospitalized Children
Delivering Comfort and Hope One Handmade Card at a Time
Amidst the challenging and often isolating experience of hospitalization, children often find solace in small acts of kindness. For those grappling with health issues, the arrival of a simple handmade card can be a ray of sunshine in an otherwise daunting environment, lifting their spirits and brightening their day.
Recently, employees of the Plibrico Company joined forces on a national scale, their mission was simple: to create heartfelt cards for Cards for Hospitalized Kids, an organization dedicated to delivering uplifting messages to children undergoing medical treatment. By contributing their time and tapping into their creativity, the Plibrico team sought to spread joy and reassure these young patients that they are supported and not alone in their struggles.
More than decorative items, studies indicate handcrafted cards uplift patients’ moods and connect them to the world outside hospital walls, providing comfort and hope. As such, numerous hospitals actively seek out these uplifting cards to help alleviate patients’ stress and depression.
Based in Chicago, Cards for Hospitalized Kids has been instrumental in bringing hope and magic to hospitalized children nationwide, delivering over 500,000 unique cards to hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses across all 50 states.
Pamela Gaul, Director of Marketing at Plibrico, expressed her wishes for the project: “I hope that our inspirational cards can offer a hospitalized child an extra dose of strength, encouragement, and comfort to help them navigate challenging times.”
Beyond the immediate impact on the recipients, the act of crafting these cards serves to strengthen the bonds of unity and purpose within the Plibrico team, fostering a shared sense of empathy and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
In addition to this initiative, the Plibrico Company and its employees are actively involved in giving back to their communities nationwide. Previously, the team has supported charities such as Shriners Hospitals for Children and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, while also engaging in fundraising efforts for the Wounded Warrior Project and Feeding America. The Plibrico Team is committed to making a positive impact wherever they can.
