Plant Manager – Oak Hill, Ohio

RESPONSIBILITIES:

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be at the center of our plant’s success. You’ll:

  • Take charge of day-to-day operations, making key decisions that drive production forward and exceed customer expectations
  • Lead and mentor a talented manufacturing team, creating a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day Plant Operations:
    • ­ Budget – Responsible for plant costs and initiates corrective action as needed. Develop and recommend plant capital and operating budgets and ensure conformance to budgets
    • ­ Safety – Responsible for the adhering to Plibrico’s safety program and assist in developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental and various regulatory agencies
    • ­ Production – Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvements and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Support your team by developing systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
  • Partner with leadership to create and maintain the annual operating budget for the plant
  • Play an active role in hiring, training, and developing people, ensuring every team member has what they need to succeed
  • Evaluate facility operations, maintenance, and performance, while leading special projects to improve service quality
  • Prepare weekly and monthly operations reports, plus additional reports as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential Education

  • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent

Essential Experience

  • 6 years’ experience in management of multi-site manufacturing of plant operations
  • 6 years’ experience in process optimization, operations, or business management
  • 6 years’ experience with manufacturing safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, and inventory
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers, mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient computer skills (ERP system, MS Excel, MS Word, or similar products)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time

WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM

TRAVEL: 5%

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While employee may occasionally go on noisy shop floor, most of the work if performed in an office setting and little to no exposure to shop floor hazards. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands required of the position include prolonged sitting and walking, extended periods of computer use and keyboarding, and a normal range of hearing and vision. Must be able to operate standard office equipment The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
