Product Information:  Plicast®️ HyREZIST®️ 3000 C KK is a 55% alumina, course grained, hybrid bond castable.   Designed to be a user friendly castable, it utilizes a high cement content with silica fume and dispersants to maintain its physical properties over a wide water range.   While engineered for low to intermediate temperature use, Plicast HyREZIST 3000 C KK performs favorably as compared to conventional super duty castables with service temperatures 2000°F to 3000°F, making this material a versatile option for numerous applications.   Product advantages include:

  • Moderate density
  • Excellent strength – cold and hot, from room temperature thru intermediate temperatures <2000°F
  • Very good, consistent abrasion resistance though the same range <10cc loss

Product Information

Pligun® HyREZIST® TS Mix is a thermal shock resistant gunning material based around a fused silica/mullite matrix with a modified high cement bond.   This formulation allows for both good gunning characteristics and physical properties, as well as excellent thermal cycling resistance.   Maximum service limit for cycling is 2500°F while the optimum cycling performance range is 1500°F to 2300°F.   Product advantages include:

  • Excellent thermal cycling resistance
    • Low thermal expansion
    • High fracture resistance: 1500°F to 2300°F
  • Good physical strength and abrasion resistance
