Product Information: Plicast® Al-Tuff® Floor Guard HT is a castable designed specifically for hot flooring and splash pads in the aluminum industry.   Incorporating an additive system to help eliminate aluminum adherence, Plicast Al-Tuff Floor Guard HT maintains consistent properties from low temperature to above 1700°F.   This material has been engineered to develop strength rapidly with only a minimum cure period.   The rapid development allows the material to be used in as little as 16 hours.   However, for maximum hydraulic strength, a full cure is required.   Product advantages include:

  • High crushing strength: cured to 1500+°F
  • Consistent abrasion resistance <15cc  (cured to 1500+°F)
  • Thermal spall resistant
  • Versatile placement, may be installed by casting or pumping

Product Information: Plicast® Al-Tuff® 27 CP KK is the pumping version of Plicast Al-Tuff 27 C KK, Plibrico’s workhorse castable for aluminum sub hearth application. This product was developed to allow for an easier, quicker, pump cast installation. Mirroring the great properties of our standard workhorse, the pump castable offers the same:

  • Coarse grain sizing
  • Crushing strength
  • Toughness – impact and crack resistance
  • Aluminum penetration resistance

Product Information: Plicast® Al-Tuff® 27 C is Plibrico’s workhorse castable for aluminum sub hearth applications.   This castable offers coarse grain sizing, good cold crushing and hot MOR strength.   Plicast Al-Tuff 27 C delivers material toughness for impact and crack resistance, along with very good non wetting resistance to aluminum penetration to prevent leaks and run outs.   This castable is designed for use with a wide water range.
