Product Information: Plibrico®️ SR 90 is a high alumina, phosphate bond plastic refractory. Manufactured with a fine grain sizing and a soft plastic consistency, this 3400°F service limit plastic utilizes a corundum and bauxite aggregates in an alumina fortified phosphate bonding matrix utilizing Plibrico’s proprietary monoaluminium phosphate. The result is a very workable phosphate bonded plastic refractory with low impurities, iron and alkalies, and stable storage characteristics. Other product attributes include:

  • Good hot strength
  • Excellent abrasion resistance – 5cc loss per ASTM C 704
  • Very good slag resistance
  • Non-wetting to aluminum
  • Meets ASTM classification C673 90% Alumina

Product Information: Plibrico® SR-85 is an 80% alumina, bauxite based, soft, fine-grained phosphate bonded plastic.   Designed for thinner applications, it works great for patching and repairing existing linings that see more severe service conditions.   Plibrico SR-85 chemically bonds very well to existing refractory, making it an excellent material choice to combat corrosion to slags and molten aluminum penetration.   Product advantages include:

  • Soft putty-like consistency for ease of use
  • Chemically bonds to existing refractory for long repair life
  • Good alkali resistance
  • Non-wetting to aluminum
