Product Information: Plicast® HyMOR® SiC 85/12V KK is an enriched low cement castable that exhibits high hot strength, creep resistance, and corrosion resistance in extreme high temperature applications.   This material offers superior thermo-mechanical stability, volume stability, and erosion resistance in areas which see high slagging at very high temperatures.   Product advantages include:

• Good hot strengths at very high temperatures
• Resistant to basic slags
• Good volume stability and moderate thermal expansion
• Resistant to erosion from aggressive stirring in ladles
• Excellent alkali resistance

Product Information: Plicast® HyMOR®️ 93V KK is a high alumina, low cement castable.   Developed with high purity alumina aggregate, and containing essentially no silica or iron oxides, this castable ends up as one of the strongest in the line of refractories.   The key to this materials strength is the low cement technology admixtures that are combined with vibration casting installation methods.   This partnership allows for a water reduction that yields higher densities, lower porosity, and better physical attributes.   Product advantages include:

• Very low abrasion loss < 4cc
• High density > 182 pcf
• Low porosity < 16%
• Very high hot strength at elevated temperatures 2500+psi @2000°F

Product Information

Pligun HyMOR 8 A is a high performance 80% alumina, low cement gun mix.   This product was designed as a primary lining material for demanding applications requiring abrasion resistance and high strength both hot and cold.   Product advantages include:

• Excellent abrasion resistance – bellow 10cc loss per ASTM C704
• High cold crushing strength – greater than 8000 psi
• Very good hot MOR up through and beyond 2000oF
• Good alkali / slag resistance
