Product Information: Plicast® Al-Rezist™ 80 KK is an 80%, bauxite based, low-cement aluminum resistant castable that uses an enhanced multi-additive package for superior performance against more aggressive alloys including those with high fluidity.   This product is engineered for aluminum processors who run their furnaces hotter, faster, and require a superior aluminum resistant refractory performance.   Along with excellent non-wetting and aluminum resistant properties, Plicast Al-Rezist 80 KK also has good physical properties for demanding service conditions.   Product advantages include:

Product Information: Plicast® Al-Tuff® 70 KK K is a hybrid bauxite/mullite based, non-wetting, low cement castable with a modified matrix and grain sizing.   Thermal cycling characteristics make it ideal for many high temperature cyclic applications.   These characteristics include hot strength at elevated temperatures and low abrasion loss.   Product advantages include:

Product Information: Plicast® Al-Tuff® Floor Guard HT is a castable designed specifically for hot flooring and splash pads in the aluminum industry.   Incorporating an additive system to help eliminate aluminum adherence, Plicast Al-Tuff Floor Guard HT maintains consistent properties from low temperature to above 1700°F.   This material has been engineered to develop strength rapidly with only a minimum cure period.   The rapid development allows the material to be used in as little as 16 hours.   However, for maximum hydraulic strength, a full cure is required.   Product advantages include:

  • High crushing strength: cured to 1500+°F
  • Consistent abrasion resistance <15cc  (cured to 1500+°F)
  • Thermal spall resistant
